Description

We are looking for a Team Leader – Theatre Robotics to join our well-established theatre team. You will work alongside our multi-disciplinary team with some of the most well renowned surgeons in the world. We are an independent charity based hospital with a history in dating back 160 years!

Am I the right person for this Team Leader – Theatre Robotics role?

  • RN or ODP qualification
  • Supervisory/Management qualification
  • Analysing staff and theatre management problems and coming up with viable solutions
  • Working as a perioperative practitioner in and across multi disciplinary teams
  • Experience of applying clinical reasoning skills to a range of complex and varied patient case mixes
  • Challenging consultants to influence evidence based practice
  • Supervisory experience
  • Evidence of substantial post registration continual professional development in management and related and relevant perioperative subjects
  • Competence across a range of either surgical, anaesthetic or post-anaesthesia, management and leadership skills supported by professional and clinical knowledge
  • Possess the mandatory training requirements for role including infection control and health and safety competencies.

What are the Responsibilities of this Team Leader – Theatre Robotics role?

  • To provide exemplary planned care for patients requiring perioperative intervention while managing a team.
  • To ensure the team delivers effective patient care by providing appropriate clinical and managerial leadership, maximising effective theatre utilisation.
  • To provide exemplary planned care for patients requiring perioperative intervention supporting the management and organisation of care provision in the operating theatre, taking on the specialist role in Robotic Surgery.
  • To assist the perioperative managers to deliver effective patient care by providing appropriate clinical support assisting the theatre manager to effectively maximise theatre utilisation.
  • To co-ordinate and communicate information relevant to the intra-operative patient care process. The SPP also provides feedback regarding patient care, and strategic planning opportunities for improvement.
  • Discuss, and agree with colleagues capabilities and competencies in general and perioperative care practice, across the team.
  • Compare current perioperative practices, trends and developments against appropriate benchmarks.
